History vs. Ferrum
Last year the W&L Generals travelled down to Ferrum to open the season. This year, Ferrum returns the favor and will travel to Doremus Gym to open the 2017-18 season for both teams. The Generals are looking to avenge a 28-13 defeat to Ferrum last season. It should be an exciting dual, with Ferrum opening the season ranked #10 in the country. They return 5 Regional placers, including 2 national qualifiers; meanwhile, the W&L Generals return 4 conference and regional placers and one national qualifier in Zach Bylykbashi.
