Reading Room: Big Man: Real Life & Tall Tales

Posted: 18th October 2011 by Generals Wrestling in Reading Room

“An outrageous journey with one of the most charismatic,
gracious, kind, and talented men of our time…This peek into the world of Clarence
is full of fun and laughter, which is exactly what the guy is all about. He’s a
genuine soul worth his weight in gold.” – Pat Riley, NBA Hall of Fame Coach

I’ve had the special opportunity to view the Big Man live in concert a handful of times. Each performance by C.C., Bruce, and the E Street band was amazing! I enjoyed the non-traditional layout of the novel that weaved fact and fiction. The simplicity of the book’s storytelling read more like an actual conversation than words on a page. His sax solos were unique to each
show and song. Personal favorites include: Out in the Street, Tenth Avenue Freeze Out, Badlands, Sherry Darling, Backstreets, Drive All Night, Thunder Road, etc. At the top of my list is Jungleland!
