Line-Up Preview for the 1st semester
Ethan Hartman started the season with a huge pin in the dual vs. Ferrum and is the only 125 lber on the roster. He will look to take a giant step forward in his junior season.
133 Matt Muller (fy)
First year Matt Muller had a close defeat against Ferrum, but looks to continue to improve throughout the season. Also, Zach Bylykbashi might be dropping down to his old weight class for the 2nd semester.
141 Zach Bylykbashi (junior) and Alex Pollera (senior)
Zach Bylykbashi will start the 1st semester at 141 lbs. Alex Pollera will also compete at 141 lbs and look to challenge for the starting spot.
149 Mike Dik (junior), Bryce Crew (fy), Will Medick (fy)
Mike Dik will be challenged by first year Bryce Crew. Also, first year Will Medick will also compete in tournaments throughout the season.
Shane Conners looks to take another step forward after a great 20 win freshman season.
165 Alec Horne (soph), Andrew Taylor (soph), Pat Hofstedt (fy), and Colby Boudreau (soph)
Alec Horne is the frontrunner to start at 165 lbs, with Andrew Taylor, Colby Boudreau, and Pat Hofstedt also competing in tournaments.
Brandon will start the year at 184 lbs, but will return to last year’s weight class (174) for the Star City Open.
184 Will Kuenne (fy) and Rexx Hallyburton (soph)
First year Will Kuenne start the year at 184 lbs, with soph. Rexx Hallyburton returning to action in the 2nd semester.
First years Zach England and Will Kuenne will compete, with Will wrestling at 184 lbs for tournaments.
Senior Matt Kaminer will look to improve on last year’s 6th place finish at regionals and work toward qualifying for the NCAA tournament.

After a tough 18-27 defeat to Ferrum to open the season, the W&L Generals’ next three competitions are three tournaments. We will travel to Washington, PA for the W&J Invite this week, before heading to the Star City Open (Roanoke, VA) before Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving break, the Generals will take the longest road trip of the season, to Ohio Northern University for a competitive tournament. We finish the semester with a day of duals at home right after the conclusion of exams.
