The class of 2022 features 11 wrestlers from 8 different states, including Washington DC. The states represented include two, Minnesota and Tennessee, that are currently not represented on the W&L wrestling team. Kevin Thole, from Stillwater, MN will travel the furthest to get to Lexington, VA – 854 miles. On the other hand, Clay Chadwick and Joey Dunn, both from the DC/Northern Virginia Area only have to travel about 150 miles! With three wrestlers coming from New Jersey, it is the most represented state and the only one with more than 1 wrestle. The class is almost evenly split between public and private high schools, with 6 coming from a public school and 5 from a prep/private school.
Although our line-up returns 8 out of 10 starters from last year, this incoming class is talented enough to make an immediate impact. The group is spread across the weight classes, from 133 all the way up to 285.
