2017-2018
Led the team with 29 wins and a 6-1 Centennial Conference Dual record. Finished 4th in the Centennial Conference Tournament and earned a top 8 finish at the Regional Tournament. Won the Jim Crytzer Memorial Tournament and was 2nd best on the team with 8 season pins. Earned NWCA Academic All-American honors for the third time in his career.
2016-2017
Posted a 19-15 record, including a 6th place finish at the NCAA East Regional and finishing 2nd in the Centennial Conference Championships. Also placed 2nd at the Jim Crytzer Invitational. Matt earned the A.E. Mathis War Memorial Award for excellence and leadership. He also earned his 2nd career NWCA Scholar All-American honor.
2015-2016
Posted a 9-10 record, including a 6th place finish at the W&J Invitational before an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
2014-2015
Earned the D.C. Montgomery Award as the team’s top first year wrestler while winning 23 matches and securing 6 falls. Champion at the W&L Invitational.
Before W&L
Three sport athlete lettering in wrestling (4x), football (3x), and lacrosse. State qualifier, team captain (2x), conference champion, and Nassau county finalist. 84-33 overall record with 50 career pins.
Personal
The son of Ron and Jackie Kaminer. Matt has an older brother, Josh, and older sister, Erika. Matt is a member of the W&L University Athletics Committee and the Generals Leadershp Academy. Matt is a Journalism major and intends to go to law school.
