The 2018-2019 wrestling season was another successful one for the Generals. Here are some highlights from the season. Check out full season recap below!
- Finishing in 2nd place in the Centennial Conference, both in conference duals and the individual championship. It was W&L’s best ever finish in the Centennial Conference, which W&L joined in the 1998-1999 season. That’s 20 years of wrestling in the Centennial Conference!
- Rexx Hallyburton wins the NCAA Southeast Region and qualifies for the NCAA Championships in Roanoke, VA. It was Rexx’s first time competing at Nationals.
- Two seniors, Ethan Hartman and Zach Bylykbashi, finished out their amazing careers. Both were 4 year starters (Ethan at 125 lbs and Zach at 133 and 141 lbs) who have been instrumental to building this program over the last four years. Zach leaves as the winningest wrestler in W&L history and the only wrestler to reach 100 wins. Ethan was awarded the Wink Glasgow Spirit and Sportsmanship Award at the W&L Athletic Awards Ceremony.
